Not to be confused with the 2017 theme Area 31.
The Area 31 Capsule, also known as Fogging Alien Capsule, was a light & sound prop sold by Spirit Halloween for the 2017 Halloween season. It resembled a green alien trapped inside a capsule. The green lights continuously stayed on. When activated, the lights flashed as alien sounds could be heard. Additionally, a fog machine could be hooked up to the prop, allowing it to fog during the activation.

"No one knows what could possibly be lurking in the mysterious capsule...until you take a closer look and see the alien’s horrifying face! People will jump as they see it trapped in this intergalactic prison. To make things even more eerie, simply attach a fog machine (not included) and watch as the alien is hidden behind a cloud of fog!"

Trivia[]
- The alien's design is based on the "Greys", a type of alien described in the Roswell incident (an alleged UFO crash in 1947) and the Barney and the Betty and Barney Hill case (a couple who claimed to have been abducted in 1961). It's since become a popular basic design for aliens.
- The alien's look and facial expression are also similar to the alien in the ending of the movie Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
- Area 31 Capsule had a working name of Fogging Alien Capsule. It was renamed to coincide with the ISE theme name it was in, Area 31.
- The stock image of Area 31 Capsule was mistakenly used as the stock image for the Alien Hanging Head when it first released.
