Changes: Beetlejuice

Beetlejuice is an animatronic sold by Spirit Halloween for the 2021 Halloween season, and returned online for the 2023 Halloween season. It resembles the character Betelgeuse of the classic Halloween film Beetlejuice sitting on a tombstone with two hands shaking carved onto it. When activated, Beetlejuice moves side to side as his mouth moves to several phrases from the film.

Spirit Halloween's Description

"Need a scare done right? Say "Beetlejuice" three times and the perfect man for the job will appear! A true undead professional, Beetlejuice's bold personality and even bolder style will freeze anyone in their tracks. His over the top presence and rude jokes are enough to overwhelm any person living or dead and once summoned, getting rid of him is not always so simple, just ask the Maitlands. After failing in his plan to escape the Neitherworld and roam the world freely by marrying Lydia Deetz, he was sent to the waiting room for the deceased where he waits for the next unlucky person to summon him to roam once again.

Consider yourself unlucky once this Beetlejuice animatronic comes to life! You won't know what to say once his torso begins to turn from side to side and he begins to taunt you with his hilarious phrases from the movie!”

Trivia

In 2019, every animatronic was assigned a name following the format "ANIMT (number)." This would be featured on the labels of each animatronic box. In 2020, the "T" in "ANIMT" has been dropped. Beetlejuice had the abbreviation ANIM 252 in 2020 and was the first animatronic to be discovered for the 2020 Halloween season with the "ANIM" title.
- This animatronic's code/item number name was ANIM 252 in 2020 and ANIM 9324 in 2021.
The animatronic was canceled in 2020 due to concerns regarding facial design. In fact, it never left the factory for official testing at corporate.
Despite this animatronic being canceled for the 2020 Halloween season, this animatronic ended up being produced for the 2021 Halloween season.
Stores received two price tags for this animatronic in 2020. The first was the regular price tag and the other was the sale tag.
