The Demonic Circus Clown, also known as the Psychotic Clown was an animatronic that was going to be sold by Spirit Halloween for the 2013 Halloween season, however, it was turned down by the company because they did not like it. It resembled a demonic clown with green hair, sharp teeth, and horns wearing a purple, orange, and black outfit. The clown also had numerous stitches on his head, and held a bloody knife in his right hand. When activated, his arm and head moved around as his eyes lit-up and numerous phrases could be heard.
Trivia[]
- It had been speculated that the Demonic Circus Clown was the result of Spirit asking multiple companies to produce a black light clown before settling on Wacky Mole Clown.
- Like Wacky Mole Clown, the Demonic Circus Clown featured day-glow colors that glowed under black light.
- Unlike most Gemmy life sizes of the era, the Demonic Circus Clown was only built with one set of poles in the middle of the base rather than the traditional two next to each other simulating legs.
- The Demonic Circus Clown was first discovered in early 2018 when an eBay seller put him up for sale. He was later shown on the Gemmy Master Animatronics YouTube channel.
- The animatronic is believed to have originally held a knife due to its movement.
- The Demonic Circus Clown's audio was reused for several other clown animatronics sold by Spirit Halloween and other retailers, mostly those made by Sunstar Industries.
- This animatronic was voiced by Steve Ross, a Gemmy Industries Voice Actor.
