Gemmy Industries is an American company founded in 1984 in Dallas, Texas (Currently based in Coppell, Texas). They have been creating exclusive Halloween decorations for Spirit Halloween since 1993. Gemmy's very first item created exclusively for Spirit Halloween was the Lifesize Animated Witch in 1993. Gemmy went on to create many more animatronics for Spirit Halloween since.
In 1995 they created the Life-Sized Crypt-Keeper for Spencer Gifts, three years before Spencer’s purchase of Spirit Halloween.
In 2013, they stopped making lifesizes for Spirit Halloween due to distribution and cost issues. Fortunately, they still produced smaller items, such as the Circus Lights in the Spirit Clown Train theme of 2013. They had made a prototype clown intended to be made for the theme, as well, but it was not manufactured due to the company not liking it. In 2016, Gemmy returned to making life-sized animatronics for Spirit Halloween with the Bony Tony animatronic. In 2017, they returned to making licensed life-sized animatronics with the Life-Sized Jack Skellington in 2017 and the Life-Sized Sally in 2018.
Additionally, Gemmy has also produced most of the lighting for Spirit Halloween‘s themes since 2011.
