Not to be confused with the 2015 animatronic Pumpkin Guardian of the Grave.
Guardian of the Grave was an animatronic sold by Spirit Halloween for the 2008 through 2011 Halloween seasons. It resembled an old weathered tombstone with numerous cracks and an image of three skulls. When activated, a reaper rose up from behind the tombstone, while the eyes lit-up and sounds could be heard. Additionally, a fog machine could be hooked up allowing the mouth to fog during the activation.

"None will pass the Guardian of the Grave Grim Reaper unscathed. The Guardian of the Grave animated prop is a professional quality decor piece that elevates your haunted house to a haunted castle. The cloak garbed skeleton Grim Reaper rises from behind his skull encrusted tombstone and spits fog (fog machine not included) to welcome evil and ward off goodwill. Spooky!"
- Guardian of the Grave Grim Reaper consists of a Grim Reaper lurking behind a skull decorated tombstone. He rises from behind the tombstone to strike terror into the hearts of all who attempt to pass by.

Trivia[]
- In 2015, the animatronic was remade as the Pumpkin Guardian of the Grave.
- The animatronic is fog machine compatible.
- You cannot move the cloth on its face.
- The 2008 and 2009 model would blow fog for 2 seconds first and then rise and play the audio, so if you weren’t using a fog machine it had a 3 second delay. In 2010, the model was reprogrammed to blow fog, rise and play audio all at the same time.
- In 2008, larger stores created a special display for the animatronic next to the tombstone section as it was not featured in a theme that year.
- In 2016, a remake of this animatronic was sold on The Home Depot website. The item has multiple differences to the original, such as a white base, as opposed to a black one, and the base had long twist ties that could not be removed. According to a tag, removing the twist ties would cause the item to stop working.
- In 2017 the prop was put up on Tekky’s own shopping site, getcoolstuff.com.
- The earlier models used the older style footpad jack while the current model was updated to the modern footpad jack.
