Honky the Clown was an animatronic sold online by Spirit Halloween for the 2011 to 2015 Halloween seasons. It resembled a large clown wearing a red and black outfit with yellow details and held a horn. When activated, the body shook, while the head turned and the mouth moved to honking noises and laughter.
Spirit Halloween's Description[]
"Hey everybody - check out the clown! Clown around on Halloween when you decorate with this lifelike Honky the Clown animated figure - he's six feet tall! Honky is motion activated and will mouth off with assorted sounds while moving his mouth and neck; his eyes light up too! All in all this is one scary fellow - keep your hands away from his mouth!"
- The Honky the Clown animated figure is a six foot tall fully dressed clown character with synthetic hair and a latex head and roto-PVC hands. The motion activated figure has a moving mouth and neck mechanism along with light-up eyes and three rotating sounds
Trivia[]
- This animatronic also uses the same music used in the Zombie Clown and both Uncle Charlies (2010/2020).
- The first 2011 edition of this animatronic featured a battery pack, that could be used to run the prop. Strangely, despite the animatronic requiring 9 volts to work properly, the battery pack only supplied 6 volts (4 “AA” sized batteries)
- This animatronic is known for having fragile latex around the mouth causing it to rip.
