The Midnight Countess was an animatronic sold by Spirit Halloween for the 2009 Halloween season. It resembled a vampire countess with red hair, dressed in white, holding a candelabra. When activated, the head turned as the eyes and candelabra lit-up, while the mouth moved to several phrases. Additionally, the back of the candelabra featured a blue LED that shined on the countess' face.

Trivia[]

  • The hand was originally going to hold a globe instead of a candelabra.
  • The candelabra was reused from the Quivering Doorman.
  • The 2009 Gemmy Industries showroom featured a prototype with a red and black dress and curly black hair.
  • The 2010 model didn't feature any details on the dress.
  • The prototype of this model featured a different face, earrings, jewels, and left hand. When the final version was decided, the same prototype model was used in the stock photo, but with a changed hand.
  • In 2015 and 2016, Gemmy Industries made two younger countesses for Lowe's, featuring the same phrases, but a different voice.
  • This animatronic, along with All Boxed Up and other select Spirit Halloween products, were also available on the QVC website in 2009.
  • While they were produced four years apart, this animatronic is often considered to be the bride of Count Vigor.
