Mr. Dark

Mr. Dark was an animatronic sold by Spirit Halloween for the 2021 and 2022 Halloween seasons. It resembled a crouching skeleton with red eyes in a black robe. When activated, he pops up as his eyes light-up while he speaks spooky threats with sound effects.

"Mr. Dark is waiting. He always is waiting. He’s tucked away in the shadowy corners of a room, patiently crouched in the midnight of a long alley or shrouded in parts of your mind you are afraid of when you fall asleep. Mr. Dark is there biding his time and growing bigger every minute, feeding on your fear, anxiety, wicked thoughts, and growing stronger each minute. Then before you know it, his evil darkness has enveloped you and your soul. Don’t blink because it’s already happening to you!

You never know what kind of dark hallway or corner Mr. Dark will be hiding in your home! Once you catch a glimpse of his terrifying light-up red LED eyes you're too late. With the built-in scissor mechanism, he'll already be shooting up to nine feet tall to scare you off of your feet!"

The shadow of Mr. Dark appeared in The Graveyard Shift Orange Band Teaser as well as teased in the The Graveyard Shift trailer.
Mr. Dark was officially released on Friday, August 13th, 2021 following Part 2 of The Graveyard Shift trailer.
The original footage for Mr. Dark, seen in The Graveyard Shift trailer, became corrupted. A new video was filmed for his release.
The ANIM number for Mr. Dark is ANIM 4732.
Although Mr. Dark's description says he's officially licensed, he is not actually officially licensed.
Mr. Dark had a working name of "Unfolding Demon."
The prototype of Mr. Dark had a different shaped face, but still the same features as the released version. In 2021 before opening of the flagship location, the prototype was replaced with a released model.
Mr. Dark appeared in Spirit Halloween: The Movie.
The 2022 model of Mr. Dark featured an improved mechanism and sound module compared to the 2021 model.
The Flagship location displayed a 2021 model of Mr. Dark instead of a 2022 in the Spirit Testing Lab.
The 2022 model of Mr. Dark has a slight delay compared to the 2021 model.
Mr. Dark was reskinned as Hell Spawn in 2023.
