Not to be confused with the 2015 animatronic of the same name, or the unreleased 2019 animatronics Life-Sized Pennywise and Life-Sized Animated Pennywise.
Pennywise was an animatronic sold by Spirit Halloween for the 2019 to 2020 Halloween seasons, and returned online for the 2021 and 2022 Halloween seasons. It resembles a replica of the character from the 2017 film, IT holding a red balloon. When activated, it rises in one quick motion, popping both up and forward, as the eyes light-up and the mouth moves to one of several lines from the film.

"You’ll float, too! Your favorite horror movie monster is about to bring your Halloween horror scene to life! There’s nothing friendly about this authentically-designed Pennywise animatronic, and your guests will be scared by the sheer sight of him! Everyone knows what happens to the kids that Pennywise comes in contact with, so you better warn your guests about what he’s capable of before it’s too late. He’ll jump at you and scoop you up so you’re never seen again!
Pennywise the Dancing Clown will strike fear in everyone who passes by as he quickly pops up as he introduces himself and says exactly what he’s going to do with your flesh. If you don’t run away fast enough, you’ll float too, just as Pennywise warns."

Trivia[]
- Pennywise shares the same mechanism as the Forest Demon from 2017.
- Pennywise was likely produced due to the release of It Chapter Two. In 2022, the box design changed to an IT Chapter Two licensing instead of the first IT movie.
- This item came with a stick to attach the balloon.
- The early prototype model can be seen in the instruction manual. It has cracks on the forehead to look more like the character from the movie, which isn’t present on released models.
- This animatronic's code/item number name was ANIMT 18 in 2019, ANIM 1346 in 2020, ANIM 6265 in 2021, and HL000428 in 2022.
- On 7/23/2020, the website picture was accidentally removed from the listing, due to a new stock photo.
- The new stock photo they used was an early prototype version in which his shoes do not feature his pom poms.
- The 2020 model features the following changes:
- The red makeup on the face had been painted in a darker red (which resembles the original prototype more), as opposed to the original 2019 version which used a brighter red.
- The speaker had been updated with a louder sound box.
- It came with a red beach ball as an alternate way of display instead of the balloons (which were still included).
- The head uses a thinner mask which causes the LED lights to bleed through the mask more as opposed to the original which never had this issue.
- The 2022 model features the following changes:
- Larger control box with larger speaker.
- Head is now vinyl instead of latex.
- Springs are rounded smaller so it jumps quicker.
- Programming for when it jumps is timed much better and on queue.
- Metal arm to hold balloon is much thicker and sturdier.
- Shoes have added weights so they don’t shift after the prop jumps.
- Balloon stick is thicker and one piece so it won’t bend and flex around when the animatronic jumps.
- Base pole connectors are welded better so they have a stronger hold to the base.
- Gemmy Industries and Morbid Enterprises had both offered their own version of a Pennywise animatronic to Spirit Halloween but they were never considered.
