The Sitting Scare Witch was an animatronic sold by Spirit Halloween for the 2018 Halloween season. It resembled a witch with white hair holding a candy bowl in a sitting position. When activated, the head popped up, as screaming and laughter could be heard while the eyes lit-up.

Spirit Halloween's Description[]

"This resting witch seems to be sleeping, but when someone reaches for the candy in her lap, her head pops up and scares her prey! Trust us, this is the perfect decoration for scaring trick-or-treaters this Halloween! Her cackling will be remembered for centuries to come…"

Trivia[]

  • Sitting Scare Witch reused the same laugh track from Resurrection Mary.
  • Later in the 2018 Halloween season, Sitting Scare Witch replaced Lost Her Way inside the Dead Harvest Farm House due to poor functionality of a roaming animatronic within the walkthrough.
  • A Try Me Button would've been placed in Sitting Scare Witch's bowl, but wouldn't be plugged in. The reasoning for this was to have her activate by sensor to scare customers. The majority of the stores did this but not all of them.
  • The codename for Sitting Scare Witch was Mother Goose.
  • Some stores in 2019 displayed leftovers of Sitting Scare Witch in place of animatronics not in stock yet.
  • Another version of Sitting Scare Witch was sold wholesale since 2019 featuring an updated face that shares that of Haunting Harriet from Party City. However, they reused the stock photo from this one.
